Careers @ ABM

You may have noticed from our chart posted in “About Us” that the Association has revamped its organisation structure to enable it to streamline aspects of its activities which require specific attention and to allocate its resources accordingly.

Following from the same, the Association takes great pleasure in announcing the promotion of Ms. Joanne Wong to Assistant General Manager, Head of Operations and Refinement with effect from 1 August 2009. Joanne has shown great dedication to the Association since joining as a member of staff in August 1991. Her broad experience, built over years of involvement with the developments in the financial sector, will no doubt continue to serve her well in her new position, particularly since she can now better focus on issues connected to banking operations.

We are also pleased to introduce our newest team member, Ms. Ng Ai Leen, who joins us as Senior Manager, Strategy and Initiatives. Ai Leen graduated from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Business in Economics & Finance. Prior to joining ABM, she was Head of Corporate Planning & Finance at a local commercial bank.

She started her career with Ernst & Young as an audit & corporate recovery consultant, and subsequently joined Pengurusan Danaharta Nasional Berhad, remaining actively involved in the asset management functions of the company as Head, Marketing & Sales Administration in Property Division. After the eventual closure of Danaharta, Ai Leen joined a foreign bank as Head, Auction Sales and continued to be involved in asset management work.

We take this opportunity to congratulate Joanne on her well-deserved promotion as well as to welcome Ai Leen to the Association’s family. We trust that they will both give (and continue to give) their best efforts to the growing Association as well as the banking industry.
