Datuk Abdul Farid Alias is currently the Group President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO)/Executive Director of Maybank. He is the President Commissioner of PT Bank Maybank Indonesia Tbk as well as member of the Board of Directors of Etiqa International Holdings Sdn Bhd, Cagamas Holdings Berhad (Malaysia’s national mortgage corporation), Payments Network Malaysia Sdn Bhd, STF Resources Sdn Bhd and Asian Banking School Sdn Bhd. He is the Vice Chairman of the Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers (AICB) and Fellow, Chartered Bankers of AICB and the Chartered Banker Institute (CBI) in the United Kingdom (UK).
In addition, Datuk Abdul Farid is a member of the Asian Bankers Association (ABA) Policy Advocacy Committee and Emerging Markets Advisory Council (EMAC) of The Institute of International Finance based in Washington, DC. He was appointed a member of the ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC) Malaysia in 2016 and more recently, a Lee Kuan Yew Exchange Fellow under the Lee Kuan Yew Exchange Fellowship Programme of Singapore.
Datuk Abdul Farid holds Master of Business Administration (Finance) from University of Denver, United States of America (USA) and Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Pennsylvania State University, USA. He attended the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
Kalpana, a lawyer by training, spent a decade in legal practice and thereafter moved into the corporate arena.
She has extensive experience in advising on complex mergers & acquisitions, debt & equity capital market transactions, banking matters as well as providing advice on legal issues involving cross-border transactions.
Kalpana is a graduate of University of The West of England, Bristol and hold a Masters in International Relations from The University of Nottingham.
Wan Razly is an experienced banker, having had solid banking experience in Commercial and Investment banks, both in Malaysia and Indonesia. He has more than 24 years of experience in corporate strategy, finance, investment banking, accounting and audit services.
He started his career in 1995 with PricewaterhouseCoopers providing audit services to companies within financial services industry in London, after which he joined Northern Trust, London in 1999, managing its Audit Services Department.
He joined Aseambankers Malaysia (now known as Maybank Investment Bank Berhad) as Head, Business Development in 2002. Thereafter in 2004, Wan Razly joined CIMB Investment Bank as Director, Corporate Client Solutions where he was responsible for providing optimal financial solutions to corporate clients.
Subsequently, Wan Razly was appointed as Chief Financial Officer in CIMB Niaga in 2009. During his tenure at CIMB Niaga, Wan Razly helped CIMB Niaga to achieve significant milestones in its Asset Growth, Profit Before Tax, CASA Growth and Asset Quality.
Prior to his appointment as Group Chief Executive Officer of AFFINBANK, Wan Razly was a Senior Managing Director, with a leading Banking Group in Malaysia.
Wan Razly holds a Bachelor of Arts in Law and Accounting from the University of Manchester, UK and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Lung is a veteran Citibanker with 24 years experience.
Prior to his current appointment, Lung was the AML Business Head for Asia and had senior oversight of the AML monitoring hub in Kuala Lumpur. He was responsible for streamlining the AML business processes regionally, implementing policy changes and managing global AML implementations. He was also the primary AML contact with Business Leadership, and tasked with implementing globally consistent AML initiatives to enhance controls and mitigate AML risk. Together with Compliance, he developed a regional AML strategy for the region.
In 2010, Lung was the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Citi Singapore where he was responsible for driving the bank’s business results, implementing the country’s strategy, developing the bank’s talent pool, and executing the various cross franchise initiatives. In addition to his role as COO, Lung was also the Singapore Markets Manager and worked closely with Singapore regulators to coordinate compliance and regulatory processes for Citi Singapore’s dealing room.
Lung was the Co-Head of the Corporate Sales & Structuring for Asia Pacific in 2007. He was responsible for all foreign exchange, options and derivatives sales to corporate and institutional clients in the region.
He started his career as a credit analyst in the bank and has held various key positions including Head of Singapore Treasury Marketing, Regional e-Commerce Head for Asia, Sales and Trading Head for Malaysia.
Lung graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration, Magna cum Laude from Chaminade University, U.S.A.
Dato’ Khairussaleh Ramli is the Chief Executive Officer / Managing Director of RHB Capital Berhad and Group CEO / Group MD of RHB Banking Group, effective 5 May 2015. Dato’ Khairussaleh is responsible for steering the Group to continue its aspirations of being a leading integrated financial services institution.
Dato’ Khairussaleh joined the Group in December 2013 as Deputy Group Managing Director and Managing Director of RHB Bank Berhad. He continues to hold the position of Managing Director, RHB Bank Berhad.
Dato’ Khairussaleh has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services and capital markets industry, where he has held senior positions in well-established financial institutions in Malaysia and Indonesia.
His knowledge and vast experience have earned him the “Best CFO in Malaysia Award” in 2010 and 2011 from Finance Asia and the “Best CFO in Malaysia Award” in 2012 from Alpha Southeast Asia.
Dato’ Khairussaleh holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Washington University and is a graduate of the Advanced Management Programme, Harvard Business School, Harvard University.
Mr Wong was appointed as Director and Chief Executive Officer of United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd (UOB Malaysia) on 1 October 2012. He has 29 years of banking experience.
He started his career with UOB Singapore in 1983, where he served for over 14 years. During the 14 years with UOB Singapore, Mr Wong held various management and senior positions in Consumer Banking, Corporate Banking and Commercial Banking. He was transferred to UOB Malaysia in 1997 where he was appointed as Head of Corporate and Commercial Banking and subsequently as Deputy CEO in 2003. In 2004, he was appointed as Director and Country CEO of United Overseas Bank (Thai) Public Company Limited, a position he held until his appointment as Director and CEO of UOB Malaysia in October 2012.
